BPwin is a legacy Windows-based business process modeling tool used to document, analyze, and improve organizational workflows. It supports established methodologies such as IDEF0 for functional modeling and IDEF3/DFD for process and workflow representation, helping teams break complex operations into clear, hierarchical diagrams. BPwin enables practitioners to define inputs, controls, outputs, and mechanisms (ICOMs), capture scenarios, and produce consistent, audit-ready documentation. Commonly paired with ERwin for data modeling, it was widely used for as-is/to-be analysis, process improvement initiatives, and compliance mapping. Although no longer actively developed, BPwin remains valuable for maintaining and publishing existing models, thanks to its solid diagramming, validation, and reporting capabilities.
BPwin is developed by Computer Associates International, Inc. and is used by 1 user of Software Informer. The most popular version of this product among our users is 4.8.
